ROMA!!!
Rome was incredibly beautiful. Out of all the places we went to, Rome's history was so present everywhere you turned. Also, the food was incredible. I was eating gelatto twice a day, every day.

I agree about Rome - I spent Christmas week 2003 in Rome and it was perfect!
I spent a week in Rome once. After the first day I realized that any reports I'd heard of Italy being chaotic or a mess to live in were grossly exaggerated and that Rome was one of the great places of earth.
