Rope or Restraints? Can I have both?
Depends on the scene and what you want to get out of it. If you just want to be / get a guy tied down restraints do exactly what it says on the tin. Nice and simple.
But for some more sensual play and restraint rope is great, and with rope you can bring much more of an aesthetic to the play, which can be great when doing it in public too.
And of course the other great thing about rope - one size fits all. :)

Its always been restraints for me.
Rope is fine - and its fun in certain situations - but its also made me claustrophobic sometimes.
I like restraints - there's a "no way you are getting out" feel to it.
*sigh* - those were the days.
for this slavedog, restraints all the way. the reason being that knowing a pawful of Men who are really into Shibari and the like, it holds a special allure - and although i've had very little experiences with it, it's something i'd like to experience at the hands of someone who knows what they're doing and has a healthy respect and interest in it - not someone who sees it as a means to an end.
because in the right hands, it can look increadibly beautiful and sexy.
Fucking tight rope is the only way to go! And you look good in it!

But then I would say that...
Steel restraints are my absolute favorite. Cuffs, manacles, chain and a nice tight leather hood. I like knowing there is absolutely no escape. With rope there's almost always some glimmer of hope that you can get away.
I am definitely more of a rope person. It is just so more intimate. And as a top, I find it a lot more aesthetically pleasing.
Definitely rope! Aside from the aesthetics, it just functions differently. It gives you much more flexibility in how you want someone positioned and how strict the bondage should be. And you always look great in rope! Someday, maybe we'll see how well you work with it.
