Resources

Recently, one of my readers got in touch with me about some issues he has been dealing with, some of them stemming from his interest in leather and BDSM. It helped remind me why I started this blog in the first place. Among other reasons, I wanted my experiences and thoughts to be a resource for others; for those young and old newcomers to this community.

No matter what you get from this blog though, I wanted to share a few of the resources I have used to help better educate myself on issues that matter to me. Most of these are available on amazon or ebay.

Guy Baldwin: The Ties that Bind
Larry Townsend: The Leatherman's Handbook
Mark Thompson: Leatherfolk

If you know of another resource that you've found to be useful or educational, please leave it in the comments section.

I think some of it needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but Jay Wiseman's "SM101" is useful for learning some of the mechanics and getting ideas for scenes.

The newly revised BDSM Safer Kinky Sex booklet is highly recommended. This beautifully produced booklet is the most comprehensive and up-to-date pamphlet of information pertaining to the risks associated with various forms of bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, and sadomasochism (BDSM) play, and the means to mitigate those risks, that I have seen to date. It can be found here...
